Basic Non Linear Editing Class at Brooklyn Center for Media Education
Basic Non Linear Editing Class at Brooklyn Center for Media Education

This 3-week course covers the basics of non-linear editing using AVID Composer 5 professional software. Students will learn how to navigate AVID’s interface and import footage from a SDHC card,as well as how to work with B-roll, audio, still images, basic effects and transitions. By the conclusion of the course, students will have edited a short video segment. Successful completion leads to becoming a Certified Community Producer, which gives you free access to use our editing facilities to produce your Brooklyn Free Speech TV show.

In order to successfully complete this course, students must be comfortable using a computer.
