Help us empower Brooklyn’s youth

Carmen Hernandez, Director of Youth Education and Family Programs at BRIC, sees firsthand the impact that BRIC’s programming has on the youngest members of our creative community. In 2023 alone, BRIC’s 35 teaching artists provided visual and media arts instruction to more than 3,000 students across 23 neighborhoods.

Support award-winning community media

Brooklyn Free Speech, formerly known as BCAT, has been entertaining, educating, and uniting Brooklynites for decades. Brooklyn-raised Vladimir Sterlin tells us about the programs that impacted him most growing up. Today, we take great pride in educating and serving 25,000+ emerging media moguls every year through our Brooklyn Free Speech network.

Bringing together Brooklyn’s artistic community

Artist Jackie Battenfield reminisces about the Rotunda Gallery, the birthplace of BRIC’s contemporary art and education programs, and one of the first places where Brooklyn’s creatives built a thriving community.

How one artist transformed from performer to music festival curator

From performing at BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! to curating BRIC’s 2023 JazzFest with some of the most exciting Jazz artists working today, Brooklyn-born musician and curator Melanie Charles is what BRIC is all about!

A Message from BRIC President Wes Jackson

“Right now the world needs arts and culture more than ever, and we need your support to keep programs like ours going strong.”
