Senior Grants Manager

BRIC seeks a Senior Grants Manager to manage and oversee the organization’s foundation and corporate grants portfolio, including acting as the primary grant writer for the organization. Reporting to the Director of Institutional Giving, this role will play a key role in driving fundraising growth across all institutional sources. As directed, the Senior Grants Manager collaborates with Program, Finance, and Marketing/ Public Relations staff, and articulates the history, mission, programs, finances, and funding of BRIC. Playing a key role on a small and dedicated team, the successful Senior Grants Manager will gain invaluable hands-on experience in strategizing institutional and philanthropic fundraising.

Senior Director of Development

BRIC seeks a Senior Director of Development to lead and manage BRIC’s efforts to achieve our annual contributed income goals from individuals, foundations, corporations, government agencies and membership of approximately $8M. Reporting to the President and working closely with a Development Strategy Consultant, the Senior Director of Development will oversee the work of the three sub-departments of development: Individual, Institutional and Government giving, while also providing supervisory oversight to a 7-person team.

This role will directly manage three Director roles: Director of Individual Giving, Director of Institutional Giving, & Director of Government Affairs. Working collaboratively with the entire team, this role will be responsible for overseeing the development of BRIC’s fundraising strategy. The Senior Director of Development will also be responsible for continuing to build out development structures and standard operating procedures, including leading the department’s data needs. We are looking for an exceptional operational manager, relationship builder, and communicator who is committed to ensuring a more vibrant future for the arts in Brooklyn and beyond.

Our high school internships are arranged through schools. Established school internship programs interested in placing students at BRIC should contact BRIC Education.

Youth Fellowships (Media & Curatorial)

Part-Time

BRIC’s Youth Media Fellowship program focuses on developing and producing Concrete Stories: BRIC Youth Media Festival. The 11th annual festival showcases short films of various genres created by NYC youth filmmakers under 21 years old. Over the course of the fellowship, Youth Media Fellows meet once a week in a group of 8-10 of their peers with the guidance of BRIC staff. The fellows determine the theme of the festival, manage the call for entries, create marketing materials, select the festival films, promote, and host the festival screening. The festival takes place in May 2024 at BRIC House and is free to the public.

 

BRIC’s Youth Curators Fellowship program will focus on developing and producing the 4th Annual For-Teens-By-Teens, BRIC’s Youth Contemporary Art Exhibition. The exhibition will showcase Visual Arts pieces in 2D & 3D mediums: printmaking, drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, textile, mixed-media, sound and installation created by NYC  high school age artists. The public exhibition will attract over 100 submissions and an audience of over 200.  This will be a physical exhibition that will take place at BRIC House gallery in May 2024.
