BRIC is proud to announce that with support from the New York Community Trust, we are able to provide in-kind media production support and training to ten New York City-based arts and cultural organizations. The $200,000 grant will allow these organizations to capture and distribute digital content, as well as build internal media capacity toward long-term sustainability.

Oye Group is a Brooklyn-based Production Company that serves as an incubator for artists both local and immigrant to New York City. We present an eclectic mix of theater, dance, poetry, music, video installations and film, through festivals and productions. We curate work that sparks a dialogue over political and social issues critical to our community’s growth. We work with emerging artists to create, play, and grow in an environment that challenges and supports them. We also provide quality arts education programming that gives our Brooklyn Community the tools to generate forward-thinking art.
Coalition For Hispanic Family Services

The Coalition for Hispanic Family Services (CHFS), established in 1990, provides services to Latino children and families and other populations in communities where significant numbers of families live below the poverty level. CHFS’s programs address family needs comprehensively and within a cultural context, with the goal of moving them towards self-reliance. CHFS operates foster care and adoption services, child abuse prevention programs, outpatient and residential mental health programs, arts and after-school education programs for children and adults, and parenting support programs. Coalition for Hispanic Family Services is New York City’s only Latino foster care and family services agency.

RRDC Studios offer multidisciplinary classes and workshops including Adult Ballet, Traditional Haitian, Afro Cuban, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as well as Yoga.
While digital content cannot replace live cultural experiences, it can provide a connective tissue and lifeline between artists, cultural organizations, and New York City audiences.
Additionally, groups who choose to participate in BRIC’s continuing education offerings will leave the program with training and knowledge in one or several subject areas such as marketing, video production in the field and/or the studio, podcasting, editing video and/or audio, and more. Staff members who complete BRIC’s Media Orientation and one or more certification courses will have Community Producer privileges at BRIC, which will enable them to access resources, facilities, and equipment beyond the project period.
