August 23rd & 24th we’re bringing you to AFROPUNK BLKTOPIA BKLYN in partnership with BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! A space where we reimagine the future of Black life, creativity, community, and expression. AFROPUNK already knows no bounds, with BLKTOPIA we’re planting the seeds to the future of us outside of all of the systems and behaviors that have never served our people.

Grammy-winning neo-soul icon, returns with two unique performances that showcase
her unparalleled artistry.
7:45PM – Larissa Luz
Brazilian singer-songwriter, electrifies with her fusion of traditional sounds, rock, and
contemporary beats.
5:30PM – Fightclubnyc Ballroom Battle
Brings a vibrant, queer-friendly ballroom battle featuring House of Juicy Couture in an unforgettable showdown.
1:45PM-5:10PM – Battle of the Bands (w/ B.A.K.)
Emerging artists compete for a chance to perform on AFROPUNK’s 20th Anniversary
stage in 2025.
2:15PM – 4:10PM – Legacy Pro Wrestling
High-octane wrestling action meets cultural flair in this dynamic showcase.
Amari Marshall [HOST]
Renowned choreographer and dancer, hosts the night with energy and style, keeping the
crowd engaged.

Returns for a second night with a completely different, transformative performance.
7:15PM – Durand Barnarr
Described as “Gangster Musical Theater” by Qveen Herby, brings his powerful vocals and clever storytelling to the stage.
Day-Party Starting 1:30PM – DJ Moma
Brings the infectious energy of Everyday People with a blend of Afrobeat, Amapiano,R&B, and more sounds of the diaspora.
AfroPunky Bands: Emerging bands showcase diverse sounds emerging from the current live band scene, pushing the boundaries of music.
- 3:30PM – Breezy Supreme: A young, black alternative rock and punk artist.
- 4PM – Winter Wolf: Harlem Rhythm Punk blending Hardcore, and Rock & Roll.
- 4:30PM – Rebelmatic: A crushing hybrid of punk, hardcore, and funk.
- 5PM – Phunky Nomads: Known for backing Wu-Tang Clan founding member
GZA. - 5:30PM – Jenny Hates Techno: A band referred to as Soul Punk or Ghetto Punk
Rock. - 6:10PM – Hue: DMV-based rock band combining gogo, pop punk, djent, and
R&B.
Gitoo [HOST]
Hosts the night with his charismatic presence, blending music, culture, and celebration.

This event is part of BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn!, New York City’s longest-running, free, outdoor performing arts festival, held ever year at Lena Horne Bandshell in Prospect Park.
The Lena Horne Bandshell at Prospect Park is home to BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn!, New York’s longest-running, free outdoor performing arts festival. Named to honor the legendary singer, actress, dancer, and Brooklyn native Lena Horne, the Bandshell is transformed into a venue every summer that can accommodate over 8,000 people.
