InPlayground, Celeste Wilson covers BRIC’s planters with an assortment of vibrant colored shapes whose sense of fluid movement bridges two and three dimensional spaces. Each shape is in fact created from an inflatable plastic ball, cut, flattened, and glued to the planters. Through such spontaneous gestures, Wilson transforms mundane, mass-manufactured objects into singular existences, finding creative potential in the unique malleability of plastic.
