About dead prez
dead prez is arguably the most socially conscious and prolific Hip Hop outfit ever. Emerging from a Black Empowerment perspective, dead prez has grown into a global voice for those who are ready to transform their reality. The duo consists of M1 and stic and was formed in 1996. dead prez transcribed their revolutionary but gangsta ethos they acquired on the streets into anthems for change. Brand Nubian’s Lord Jamar discovered them and helped them sign a deal with Loud Records.
With hard-hitting beats, stellar lyricism and strong song concepts, dead prez earned respect around the world from their peers and beyond. The duo’s first two studio albums,Lets Get Free (2000) and RBG: Revolutionary But Gangsta (2004), were accompanied by four acclaimed Turn Off The Radio mixtapes and solo albums, and in 2012, they released the Information Age. https://www.deadprez.com/
