BROOKLYN, NY – July 18, 2025 — BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn!, New York City’s longest-running free outdoor performing arts festival, is proud to announce a powerful night of Hip-Hop on Saturday, August 9, 2025, featuring Lyricist Lounge Presents Raekwon The Chef: Only Built 4 Cuban Linx… 30th Anniversary Show.
This milestone performance marks 30 years since the release of Raekwon’s seminal solo debut, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx…, a defining album in Hip-Hop history. It also celebrates the 34th anniversary of Lyricist Lounge, the legendary platform that helped launch and elevate some of the culture’s most iconic voices.
The event promises a dynamic blend of nostalgia and high-energy performance, honoring the impact of Raekwon’s storytelling, lyricism, and legacy. He’ll also share new material from his latest release, The Emperor’s New Clothes, with special guests joining throughout the night.
As part of BRIC’s commitment to accessibility, an ASL interpreter will be on stage to support our d/Deaf and hard of hearing communities.
