It Could Only Happen at BRIC: HERA

At BRIC JazzFest 2022 we presented 18 boundary-pushing acts, including HERA – a group of powerhouse female artists who debuted on the festival stage. Led by Chelsea Baratz, who brought together five incredible artists, HERA performed together for the first time for the BRIC JazzFest audience after being connected by guest curator Maurice Brown.

Every musician in HERA has her own band, her own original music, and her own sound outside of the group, but when they came together they made something never seen before.

That kind of magic could only happen at BRIC.

“Bringing together these five dynamic musicians in a collaborative musical experience was nothing short of a dream. Taking risks and providing a platform for ambitious artistic projects is what BRIC JazzFest – and BRIC – is all about!” – Viviana Benitez, BRIC JazzFest Producer

You never know when your new favorite band will be formed… but you know that magic happens at BRIC. Help us keep the magic happening!
