For the first time, BRIC will offer a stipend for participation. Both fellowships provide professional insight and hands-on experience, culminating in two public events: “Concrete Stories: BRIC Youth Media Festival,” and the 3rd Annual Youth Contemporary Art Exhibition respectively in Spring 2023. The fellowships meet for two hours a week from October 26, 2022 through May 31, 2023, with breaks during the New York City Department of Education scheduled holidays. Applications will be open from September 19 to October 2, 2022. To learn more and apply, please visit this form.

The Youth Media Fellowship program focuses on developing and producing “Concrete Stories: BRIC Youth Media Festival.” The annual festival showcases short films of various genres created by NYC youth filmmakers under 21-years-old based on a theme determined by the fellows. Youth Media Fellows will gain skills and professional insight into the planning, curation, and promotion of a short film festival. Fellows will learn about marketing, event planning, and video production under the guidance of BRIC staff and various guest speakers.
