BRIC Announces “Raised By Brooklyn” Gala and House Party, Honoring D-Nice
Brooklyn, NY (April 10, 2024) –BRIC, a leading, multi-disciplinary arts and media institution anchored in downtown Brooklyn, announces today its 2024 BRIC House Party & Gala: “Raised by Brooklyn.” For over 45 years, BRIC has shaped Brooklyn’s cultural and media landscape by presenting and incubating artists, creators, students, and media makers. Some of BRIC’s most acclaimed programs includethe BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! festival in Prospect Park to BRIC’s renowned contemporary art exhibition series, and two distinct media initiatives: Brooklyn Free Speech, Brooklyn’s Public Access initiative, and BRIC TV, a nonprofit community TV channel and digital network. BRIC also offers education and other vital programs at BRIC House and throughout Brooklyn.
The BRIC House Party & Gala: “Raised by Brooklyn” kicks off BRIC’s year-long curatorial theme, highlighting the organization’s impact on the borough and beyond.
D-Nice Returns to BRIC
The gala, held on June 12, 2024, at 6 PM, features multi-talented artist D-Nice as both honoree and performer, closing the night with a DJ set at the BRIC House Party immediately afterwards.
D-Nice’s return follows his epic live 2021 Club Quarantine set at BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn!, which was the first live version of the pandemic party in New York. Joining D-Nice as an honoree is longtime BRIC Board Member, Community Producer, and philanthropist Toni Williams and In The Raw®, a cornerstone of the Brooklyn business community and longtime supporter of arts and culture organizations. We are proud to recognize all for their contributions to Brooklyn’s vibrant community.
“Raised by Brooklyn” – A Year of Celebrating Brooklyn
The gala serves as the launchpad for BRIC’s “Raised by Brooklyn” campaign. This theme will guide the organization’s programming for the next year, encompassing the 2024 BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! season and continuing through spring 2025.
