BROOKLYN, NY (July 16, 2025) – BRIC’s signature summer series, BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn!, brings the party to Crown Heights with a free community pop-up featuring reggae legend Johnny Osbourne, hip-hop pioneers, Smif-N-Wessun, Bush Babees, and Chip-Fu.  

From 4PM–7:15PM, DJsAyanna Heaven, GabSoul, and DJ Grinfo will set the tone with high-energy sets. As night falls, enjoy an outdoor screening of Bam Bam: The Sister Nancy Story  at 8:30PM, honoring the groundbreaking dancehall icon behind one of the genre’s most sampled tracks.

This special event, curated by Lyricist Lounge and presented in partnership with Rooftop Films, NYC Council Member Chi Ossé, and Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso, celebrates the borough’s deep musical roots—from reggae royalty to golden-era hip-hop.
