BRIC HOSTS 2025 MAYORAL CANDIDATES FORUM ON CULTURE AND ARTS
Mayoral Forum Produced By BRIC In Collaboration With NY4CA and Culture & Arts Policy Institute

Brooklyn, NY (January 28, 2025) — BRIC, a leading, multi-disciplinary arts and media institution anchored in downtown Brooklyn, will host a 2025 New York City Mayoral Candidates Forum on Culture and Artson Monday, February 10, from 7:00-8:30 PM at BRIC House, 647 Fulton Street, Brooklyn. BRIC, which houses Brooklyn’s premier community media center, advances its mission of fostering civic dialogue by connecting residents to essential conversations about New York City’s culture and arts through its comprehensive media platforms and community events. BRIC President Wes Jackson will deliver introductory remarks before the forum, which brings together prominent candidates including Comptroller Brad Lander, Senator Zellnor Myrie, Senator Jessica Ramos, former Comptroller Scott Stringer, and Whitney Tilson, among others. Brooklyn native and iHeart media personality Angela Yee will moderate the discussion, bringing her renowned interview expertise to this significant civic event.
Produced in collaboration with New Yorkers for Culture and Arts(NY4CA) and theCulture and Arts Policy Institute, the forum will be broadcast live on BRIC TV and Brooklyn Free Speech HD extending its reach beyond the physical venue to viewers across New York City. This multi-platform approach demonstrates BRIC’s commitment to ensuring that Brooklyn residents have comprehensive access to vital civic conversations that shape their community.
