During her tenure at BAM, Yvette played a pivotal role in securing the Shuttered Venue Operators Grant (SVOG) worth $10 million during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic. Yvette’s dedication and expertise also led to BAM receiving its largest grant in its history, a testament to her strategic financial leadership.

Yvette Rodriguez is known for her strategic thinking and her commitment to making a positive impact on the Brooklyn community. Her decision to transition from corporate work to nonprofit work reflects her belief in the power of storytelling and the importance of contributing to the community. She sees BRIC as a platform where she can leverage her extensive career experiences to propel BRIC forward in its mission.

BRIC CFO Yvette Rodriguez said:

I am excited to join BRIC because BRIC represents and serves the community of Brooklyn, my roots. I believe in ‘to whom much is given, much is required,’ and I look forward to making a difference in Brooklyn as a part of BRIC. BRIC chooses to deliver opportunities to the community through diverse programs and space, which sets it apart as unique. I intentionally switched from corporate work to nonprofit work because, while numbers don’t have an opinion and tell a story, the story I choose to be a part of is most important. I see BRIC as a place where I can use my experiences across my career to help move the institution forward.”

BRIC PresidentWes Jackson said:

“Yvette is a seasoned executive who shares BRIC’s and my personal commitment to uplifting the community. She is a powerful addition to the team, and I’m excited to work with her as we continue to elevate and amplify the voices of all of Brooklyn and beyond.”
