The BRIC Podcast Intensive guides you through all of the stages of starting a podcast. In this course, a group of talented Brooklynites will be selected to write, produce, record, and edit a podcast episode (singular or pilot) on a topic or subject of their choice. Students will produce their show, assist their classmates, and develop a cohort that can work together after the class ends. We’ll review non-fiction storytelling, podcast production practices, interviewing, choosing subjects and locations, recording techniques, studio practices, and editing on Audition. The course will culminate with a special public remote listening event for your podcast which may also air on our channels. Applications open on September 18, 2025.Application deadline is midnight EST 12/12/2025. The class meets Thursdays from mid Jan to early Apr, 6:30-8:30pm in-person. The public event will occur in September 2025 at BRIC house.
Important: To apply, you’ll need prior experience with field recording equipment (e.g., Zoom recorders) and basic post-production skills (such as editing in Adobe Audition).
