BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! heads to Brower Park for a special evening of film, Hip-Hop, and reggae in Crown Heights.
4:00-7:15PM: We’re bringing the block party energy to Park Place between Brooklyn Ave and Kingston Ave with live performances by reggae icon Johnny Osbourne, golden-era rap pioneers Chip-Fu and Bush Babees, and DJ sets by Ayanna Heaven, GabSoul, and DJ Gringo. More special guests to be announced soon!
8:30PM: Spread out on the lawn for a screening of Bam Bam: The Sister Nancy Story, a documentary about the trailblazing dancehall DJ and singer.
Curated by Lyricist Lounge, and presented in partnership with Rooftop Films, New York City Council Member Chi Ossé, and Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso.
