As a part of DUMBO Open Studios(April 23 – 24, 2022 from 12-6PM), all five 2021/2022 BRIClab Contemporary Art residents will open their studio doors to the public to showcase the projects made during their residency. BRIClab: Contemporary Art is a residency program created to advance opportunities for visual artists, offering essential resources, mentorships, and opportunities to share their work.
In addition to BRIClab: Contemporary Art, BRIC’s second studio program in the neighborhood, Bridge Space, will also be participating in DUMBO Open Studios. Bridge Space is a new initiative between BRIC and Two Trees that aims to support emerging visual artists with a 10-month subsidized studio.

About Bridge Space
Bridge Space is a new initiative with BRIC and Two Trees to dedicate 2,800 square feet of artist studio space in the DUMBO neighborhood of Brooklyn to support emerging visual artists by providing below-market rent. The 10-month program includes a workspace and artists were selected by applying to an open call and chosen by BRIClab program managers.
About BRIClab
BRIClab is a multi-disciplinary residency program created to advance opportunities for visual artists, performers, and media makers. BRIClab offers emerging and mid-career artists essential resources, mentorships, and opportunities to share their work. The residency aims to build a stronger and more diverse artistic community in Brooklyn by supporting long term growth and fostering relationships across disciplines.
The program’s four tracks are Contemporary Art, Film + TV, Performing Arts, and Video Art. Each track offers unique resources designed to meet the needs of varied artistic practices. Residents receive additional financial support, mentorship, skills-based learning opportunities, and documentation of their work.
