BRIClab: Contemporary Art Open Studios

Event Info

As a part of DUMBO Open Studios (April 18 – 19, 2026 from 1-6PM), artists in DUMBO will open their doors to the public, giving visitors a look into studios and workspaces across the Brooklyn waterfront. DUMBO has been the epicenter of Brooklyn’s art community since the 1970’s. View works in progress by this year’s BRIClab Contemporary Art Residents.

Accessing the Studios

  • The studios are located on the Mezzanine level at 20 Jay Street. The building has a wheelchair-accessible street-level entrance. The studios are accessible by one (1) street-level passenger elevator, two (2) passenger elevators, and one (1) freight elevator. There are gendered, wheelchair accessible restrooms on each floor. 
  • Accessible Modes of Transportation to 20 Jay Street:
    • Access-a-ride | Uber | Lyft
    • Accessible Subway Stations
      • Borough Hall – 2, 3; 4, 5 Manhattan-bound and The Bronx-bound only
        • Elevator in front of Supreme Court Building at Court St. 
        • Bus connections: B25, B26, B38, B41, B45, B52, B61, B65 and B103 (westbound only)
      • Jay St–MetroTech Station – A, C, F, R trains
    • Bus
      • B25, B62, B67, B69

About BRIClab

BRIClab is a multi-disciplinary residency program created to advance opportunities for visual artists and media makers. BRIClab offers emerging to mid-career artists essential support and opportunities to share their work. All residents receive a $2,500 stipend, mentorship, skills-based learning and professional development, and documentation of their work.
