Join us on Sun, June 19 for Juneteenth UNITYFEST, a BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! concert co-presented by Robert Randolph Foundation. Featuring Barry Brewer as host with performances by Tye Tribbett, Deborah Cox, Israel Houghton, Mali Music, and Robert Randolph.

Juneteenth UNITYFEST is the brainchild of Grammy-nominated African American artist Robert Randolph, who will convene a multi-artist celebration at the Bandshell aimed at uniting people of all backgrounds and amplifying the many narratives of the Black experience in America through storytelling and music.

Multiple GRAMMY® Award winner, 11-time Billboard chart-topper, and Soul Train Music Award-winning icon Tye Tribbett continues to send positive vibes with new song “Anyhow” amid virus. Five #1 albums, two #1 radio singles, four #1 digital song sale singles, and eight top 10 songs. In his career, he’s had over 317 million global streams with over 1.3 million albums sold. On Youtube, he has eclipsed 56 million views. And he’s rocked national TV performances such as The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and The BET Awards. He’s currently one of the most inspirational voices online. His 1.8 million social media followers often go to him for a positive voice during rough times. In fact, one of his posts about self-worth went viral with everyone from Justin Bieber and Rev Run to Diddy and Nicki Minaj reposting.

If there’s one thing Barry Brewer can do, it’s entertain. And while most are able to master one or two crafts, Barry has proven his innate ability to shine as a multifaceted entertainer who masters all that falls under his umbrella of talent. Very few have proven themselves to be as multi dimensional, Barry’s favorite actor, Jamie Foxx, being one of the few. Barry has been working non-stop, as he’s established himself as a force in television. You can currently see him on Tyler Perry’s Bruh and BET’s Games People Play. Barry is also known for his role on Kevin Hart’s Guide to Black History, on Netflix. Brewer began his career when he received a standing ovation at an impromptu performance; at a packed out Chicago church event; that ultimately changed his life. Consequently, Barry shifted his focus to comedy, perfected his craft and began performing in comedy clubs throughout Chicago; eventually relocating to Los Angeles. His early success came from televised comedy competitions such as Bill Bellamy’s Who’s Got Jokes, on TV One; alongside his peers, Tiffany Haddish and Lil Rel Howery on BET’s Coming to the Stage. Having been inspired by the comedy legends, Barry filmed his debut stand-up comedy special, Chicago I’m Home for a sold out crowd at the Studebaker Theatre, downtown Chicago. Written, produced and directed by Brewer, Chicago I’m Home is a one-hour stand-up comedy special that invites viewers to view life through Barry’s lens; as he recalls how his childhood and adult life merge with modern American society. Chicago I’m Home was released in 2019 and is currently streaming on Amazon Prime, iTunes, Vimeo and a host of other platforms. In the summer of 2019,  Brewer produced and hosted a sold out, nationwide comedy tour with his counterparts, Big Jah and Minks; derived from the original viral series, When the Whole Crew Is Stupid. The videos’ success (receiving more than 25 Million views from the entire series) inspired Brewer to produce a national tour. Visiting nearly 20 cities, the tour showcased the group’s comedic talent and converted the internet fan base to an actual physical audience. In addition to his film and television career, Barry is a talented singer, songwriter and music producer. He currently has two studio albums, Dive In and Conquer Goliath that he wrote, composed and produced. His talents have placed him in the presence of artists such as Brandy and Tank. Barry is also a gifted musician. He can often be found most Sundays playing the piano or organ at his church.

Deborah Cox is a Grammy-nominated recording artist and a world-renowned talent across the worlds of music, Broadway, television, film, and fashion. With a career spanning more than two decades, Deborah has released six critically-acclaimedcareer albums including her debut album, Deborah Cox (1995), One Wish (1998), The Morning After (2002), Remixed (2003), Destination Moon (2007), and The Promise (2008). An established songstress, Cox has scaled the R&B and pop charts with six top 20 Billboard magazine R&B singles and thirteen No. 1 hits on Billboard’s Hot Dance Club Play Chart. In addition to her illustrious musical catalog, the Canadian-born star has been recognized and awarded for her undying commitment to various social justice initiatives, including advocacy for LGBTQ2S+ rights, support for those living with HIV/AIDS, and the fight for Human Rights and Equality for all. In 2020, Deborah was honoured with Black Music Honors’ Entertainer Icon Award in recognition of her 25 ground-breaking years in the music industry.
