Sasha Velour's NightGowns

Velour is the creator and host of “NightGowns”, running for over 10 years in New York City--considered one of the best drag shows of all time.

Her first one-person show, “Smoke & Mirrors” (2019-2022), toured to 90 theaters around the world, including the Folies Bergère and the London Palladium. Her second, “The Big Reveal” (2023-2025) toured to 63 theaters, with hit runs at Steppenwolf, La Mama, and Berkeley Rep. Critics wrote: “Velour is an artist, through and through, and [The Big Reveal] feels the beginning of a larger and genre-bending body of work.” (SFist) And “[The Big Reveal] redraws the boundaries of drag and theater.” (SF Chronicle)

Her namesake production company, House of Velour, has produced live shows and video for HBO, Quibi, NY Fashion Week, MAC Cosmetics, Audible, Lyft, Absolut Vodka, LaJolla Playhouse, and more. House of Velour has been praised as “disrupting the business of drag” (Fast Company) for its artist-driven, transparent, and multi-disciplinary approach.

In 2023, Velour released a best-selling book, The Big Reveal: An Illustrated Manifesto of Drag, which explores the untold history of drag, interwoven with stories from her life as a young queen
(Harper, 2023).

In 2017, Velour gained international attention when she competed on and won the 9th season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, the same year the competition won its first Emmy. Her finale lip-sync to “So Emotional” (Whitney Houston) increased streams of the song by 500%.

In 2020, she executive-produced her own limited TV series, an adaptation of “NightGowns” directed by Sophie Muller and co-produced by The Documentary Group, which received a RealScreen Award and was hailed as one of “the most life-affirming shows you could find on any platform” (NY Times). In 2023, Sasha joined the cast of HBO’s Emmy and Peabody Award-winning “We’re Here”, which was nominated for two Critics Choice Real TV Awards, Best Ensemble Cast and Best Structured Unscripted Series (won). In 2025, she served as a head judge on “King of Drag”, the first televised Drag King competition in history.

As an illustrator and designer, Sasha has produced several comic books, and an anthology about drag called Velour (2013-2018). She drew the Google Doodle for Marlene Dietrich in 2018, and created a self-portrait for the cover of The New Yorker in 2023.

Beaujangless is a NYC-based performance artist & social media personality hailing from the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. She has graced the covers of Harper's Bazaar & New York Mag alongside features in Vogue, Cosmo, & PAPER (to name a few). She has been seen on stages across the country with performances at the Moschino Coachella after-party, opening for Chappell Roan & Jade Thirwall, and even headlining the All Things Go music festival.

Charlene Incarnate has produced and performed across NYC’s most prestigious drag stages (including Bushwig, Wigstock 2.0, The Brooklyn Museum, and The Public Theater) to ritual rites of gay worship in sanctuaries, the underground, and at home for over 13 years. Charlene is a reigning institution and a seminal piece of the ethos of Brooklyn Drag and an essential tenant of the menageries of Susanne Bartsch, LadyFag, the Carry Nation, and Honcho Campout for whom she curates the mainstage drag acts. She can be seen on film in Netflix’s Glamorous and Julio Torres’ Problemista. Her solo shows include Cuntpany, Y'all Are Fucked Up presented by the Poetry Project, and Charlene is: Patti LuPone Live!

Julie J is a Brooklyn-based actress and drag artist. She currently stars in the Webby Award–winning Alexis Bittar series and the comedy-horror film Queens of the Dead on Hulu. She was crowned MISS BUSHWIG in 2023, Entertainer of the Year at the Glam Awards in 2024. As a community advocate, she has been featured on MSNBC, The Washington Post, PAPER Magazine, and NowThis News for raising over $125,000 for LGBTQIA+ organizations across the country. She is the co-author of No Tea, No Shade: Life as a Drag Queen (HarperOne).

Lady Quesa is a Brooklyn-based drag queen originally from El Paso, Texas. Quesa is the resident MC at YasMama and a longtime member of Bushwig. Beyond the stage, Quesa serves as Assistant Director of Arts Programming, leading a team of teaching artists, youth leaders, and social workers who support young people ages 13–24 through creative youth development. They hold an MA in Performance Studies from NYU and was recently accepted into the hybrid MSW program offered in partnership between The Door and NYU, further advancing their commitment to arts, education, and community care.

Linda Felcher is a multimedia drag cryptid who has been lurking the depths of the Brooklyn Nightlife for over a decade. They are a shapeshifter, exploring the limits of the body and gender distorting with masks, makeup, puppetry and video. Titles include Mx. Congeniality 2018 for Mx Nobodies and Mx. Pure Garbage 2022 for Wussy Mag which they are a writing contributor.

Maxxx Pleasure is a Brooklyn-based drag artist who has been performing in NYC for over 12 years. Known for his clever storylines, genius homemade props, and charming demeanor, he is the heroes and princes from storybooks brought to life. Maxxx hosts and produces, "Guilty Pleasures", a monthly drag show in Brooklyn.

Miss Ma’amShe is the casual comedic gem of NYC. MissMa'am (She) drag blends the idea of being overly active on social media with the harsh reality of storming the clearance rack. In a world oversaturated with double stack wigs, bodysuits with the same crossbody strings and chunky costume jewelry that even the TSA wouldn’t allow in a carry on, She (MissMa’am) offers audiences a different perspective on modern drag. A perspective that will leave you wondering, “Am I crazy, or is She?"

Patti Spliff is a Brooklyn based drag queen and visual artist. Instantly recognizable with her 60 inch wigs and heavy eyelashes, she is the creator of "Sas Songs" and has been a BUSHWIG family member since 2013.

Reina Nobuena (noun) is a first generation Salvadoreña who was born and raised in New York City. She has been seen in The Subway music video with Chappell Roan, on the Pride cover of TIME (OUT NY) Magazine, and in your dreams (both scary and delightful).

Sherry Poppins is an NYC based drag queen who embodies every cool Long Island auntie that defends you from your homophobic weird uncle. Having been in the scene for well over ten years, Sherry has captivated a wide variety of audiences with her even wider variety of drag. Sherry is a co-founder of the 2x Glam award winning show “STR8 to DVD,” and was also voted "Best Host" last year.

Tyler Ashley is a Dance, Drag and Performance Artist. Ashley has performed for Elizabeth Streb, DANCENOISE, Larissa Velez-Jackson, Sean Donovan, Kade Pyle, and Charles Atlas among others. She is also known as The Dauphine - a nightlife personality, performer, producer, and emcee. Her dance art and/or drag performances have been presented by Performa, The High Line, Honcho Campout, Times Square Alliance, BOFFO, and seen at Brooklyn Museum, BAM, FIAR, The Kitchen, New York Live Arts, The Public Theater, Jacob’s Pillow, Triskelion Arts, Knockdown Center, The Chocolate Factory, Danspace Project, Sasha Velour's "Nightgowns", and more. Most recently, Ashley choreographed Geena Rocero's short film "DOLLS", remounted her 2014 ensemble dance "Don't Kidnap Us" at LaMaMa and QNCC, and is in residence at Gifford House, Provincetown, MA with durational drag experience BABY TEA co-created and performed with Charlene Incarnate.
