Event Info

PLEASE NOTE: There is no late seating, so please plan to arrive earlier than the start time indicated on your ticket.

The North American premiere of The Eagle and the Tortoise invites the audience into a collective reading of a hand-made book. Sister Sylvester’s work moves between myth and documentary, tracing the history of the aerial view in art and journalism, and following the true story of a young woman who became an icon of leftist resistance, an armed militant, a political prisoner, and finally, a proxy soldier in the American war against ISIS.

SEATING POLICY: Please plan to arrive early as there will be no late seating.

RUN TIME: The show runs 60 minutes with no intermission.

The Eagle and the Tortoise is presented in partnership with Under the Radar – Mark Russell, Festival Director & ArKtype, Festival Producer. More information at utrfest.org
