Karyne Tinord is a multidisciplinary artist, designer, and braider who blends culture, beauty, and storytelling through her work. As the founder of Kay de Trés, she uses braiding as both a creative and cultural art form—celebrating the heritage of Black hair while modernizing its role in fashion and self-expression. Karyne’s photography and designs are deeply personal, capturing individuality and empowering clients to share their stories through style. Her work spans a wide range of clients, from everyday people to celebrities, and is rooted in connection, creativity, and community.

In addition to her artistic pursuits, Karyne is the founder of Yadestiny Treasure Chest, a nonprofit organization that provides youth with sustainable career opportunities and development in fashion and media. Her passion for empowering others extends beyond beauty and fashion, as she continues to uplift her community through service.

As a proud member of ICAC, Karyne is excited to expand her artistic reach and further represent the diverse voices and stories that inspire her work.

Sukanya “SUKY” Fairweather is a multimedia artist and native of Brooklyn, New York. Suky is a self-taught artist working across various mediums, including digital art, singing/songwriting, poetry, painting, and curation. Her artistic journey began eight years ago in her apartment, with just a brush and canvas on a quiet day. She started translating her spiritual epiphanies into paintings, creating images that convey metaphorical lessons and beauty from her unique perspective.

Guided by her spiritual insight, Suky became a certified Pranic healer, holistically integrating her spiritual education into her life and work. Over time, she began attracting opportunities to collaborate with organizations that support artists in New York. She has worked with local groups such as BRIC NYC, University Settlement, and RAW Artists. Through these collaborations, Suky has grown into a significant and impactful force within her community and the broader creative arts scene.

Chasity Fryer will never lose her love for childlike imagination. She has always had a big imagination and encourages her children to think big as well. With a deep love for fantasy, she believes it is important to never lose that sense of wonder, to be dazzled by lights and magic, and to hold on to the childhood spark that allows us to be amazed.

Chasity’s motto is “dream in color,” and she brings this to life as a vocal and chorus after-school teacher, organizing performances and helping children sing their heart songs. She also runs an organization called Being a Great Samaritan, where she puts her imagination to work by hosting community events. No matter the occasion, Chasity weaves in music, dance, poetry, and art.

Another outlet for her creativity is writing. She has self-published one children’s book, with more on the way, and is also an independent filmmaker excitedly looking forward to her first feature film appearing on the big screen.

Monique Wright is a seasoned entrepreneur with over a decade of QA expertise in the tech industry. She is also the proud owner of an ever-growing online clothing boutique called Thee Fine Art Connoisseur (TFAC). Born and raised in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, Monique blends her Jamaican and British heritage into everything she does, bringing a unique perspective to her fashion sense and styling.

Her boutique is known for curating distinct, feminine pieces that reflect her deep passion for fashion and creativity, while ensuring that each client's outfit expresses their identity as a distinguished woman or gentleman. As the eldest of her sisters, Monique naturally embodies leadership, empowering women in both her professional and personal life.

Joining the ICAC aligns with her devotion to giving back to her community and the neighborhood that helped raise her.

Ketriana Yvonne is the author of Sequin Soul: Poetry from the Spirit. She was honored as the Sequin Soul Spirit Writer and Fort Greene Community Hero of 2023. Ketriana has received grants from the Brooklyn Arts Council’s SU-CASA program to lead Spirit Writing Workshops at adult centers.

She has served as a panelist for Brooklyn Arts Council music grants and as a financial counselor for ThriveFest, offering one-on-one financial guidance. Ketriana has been featured at a SpeakWord Poetry event in Fort Greene Park and performed at The Fling for the Fort Greene Conservancy. She also regularly performs the musical number “Spread Love” with the Intergenerational Community Arts Council throughout Brooklyn.

Her writing has been published in Sense & Sensibility Haiku Journal (2023 and 2024), the Brownstone Poets Anthology, Circular Whispers, and on AllPoetry.com under the name Spirit. Ketriana is also an award-winning producer of The Ketriana Yvonne Show, which airs on BRIC Brooklyn Free Speech.
