ULTRAVIOLET

ULTRAVIOLET is a visual art exhibition for teens, by teens, curated by our 2026 Youth Curatorial Fellows.

What does unseen beauty look like?

Ultraviolet, something to have pride in

Something so ethereal, something hidden in disguise, something that makes you think, something that opens your eyes

It’s illusive, like the last of a dying breed

It’s mysterious like the planting of an uncommon seed

It’s the blood red of us and the deep blues that create cool violets

Like a dream only remembered by lingering feeling

The great obscure, only purely visible to the open or level minded

Ultraviolet,

Invisible lights, invisible art to the naked eye

Shadowed beauty too bright or too dull for I

Deep purple eye, deep purple skies

Ultraviolet, a color hard to define, so divine, lost to space and time

Ultraviolet, many definitions, one hard to find

CONCRETE STORIES

Concrete Stories is a film festival for teens, by teens, hosted at BRIC House as part of our Teen Takeover event on April 22, 2026. From April 22-August 2, 2026, the films showcased at the festival will be on view at BRIC House alongside other youth exhibitions.

Concrete Stories, curated by BRIC’s 2026 Youth Media Fellows, aims to promote creativity from the youth and showcase their power and potential. It showcases authentic, entertaining, and diverse works across all genres by New York City youth filmmakers. Awards will be given to films across different categories. The festival is run by teens and gives a platform to the creative minds of the youth. It’s important for people to express themselves and create community. Our goal is for filmmakers of all ages to be represented.
