BRIC JAZZFEST
10th Anniversary
For a decade, BRIC JazzFest has been Brooklyn’s passport to a world of sonic exploration. Since its inception in 2015, we’ve been committed to uncovering the hidden gems and rising stars of the jazz scene and presenting them at BRIC House in Downtown Brooklyn.
BRIC is thrilled to champion the evolution of jazz, fostering opportunities for rising stars like Brandee Younger, who transformed from a relatively new artist in 2015 to our esteemed 2024 Artist Curator. Her innovative and ever-expanding artistry embodies the very spirit of the festival, which has become woven into the vibrant tapestry of Brooklyn’s cultural scene over the past ten years. Join us as we celebrate a decade of discovering new sounds, pushing boundaries, and redefining what jazz can be.
BRIC JazzFest 2024 is a continuation of BRIC’s “Raised By Brooklyn” campaign, a year of programming celebrating the unique role Brooklyn plays in fostering a sense of community and belonging. “Raised by Brooklyn,” beyond a statement of pride and possibility, honors the transformative power of BRIC’s programs and their lasting impact on the Brooklyn community and beyond.
Plus, come early on Fri, Oct. 18 for an exclusive panel:“Next Jazz Legacy – Why Intergenerational Collaboration and Radical Inclusion are Essential Anchors for a Vibrant and Enduring Jazz Future”
