M Train

Season 2 of M Train is now streaming! The BRIC TV podcast is a six-part audio series that explores different facets of Muslim life, culture, and diversity in New York City, co-produced and hosted by journalists and podcaster Ahmed Ali Akbar. M Train is co-produced by Shirin Barghi and is a mini-series of the podcast See Something Say Something.

Shirin Barghi is an NY Emmy-nominated audio producer and documentary filmmaker based in Brooklyn, New York. She currently works as a Senior Producer for BRIC TV, where she covers issues of social justice, immigration, inequality and more.

Ahmed Ali

Ahmed Ali Akbar is an audio journalist and culture writer who hosts the Wilbur award-winning podcast “See Something Say Something.” He has written and hosted shows for BuzzFeed News, Vox Media Podcast Network, Eater, Netflix, America’s Test Kitchen, and many more. Ahmed holds a Master’s in Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity School.

Karim Douaidy

Music Producer

Karim is a French / Lebanese musician based in New York. He has worked in the film industry for many years composing music and designing audio for features, television, theater, and interactive media. He is the co-founder of Chapter Four, a NYC creative studio that produces traditional and immersive/interactive XR content.
