The BRIC Film Festival will showcase media from community producers and emerging artists who have created their work through their participation in BRIC programs including BRIC FLIX (BRIC TV), B Scene (BK Free Speech) and through BRIC’s in-school media residencies (Youth Education).
The theme of this year’s BRIC Film Festival is Bold, Beautiful, Brooklyn! The artists selected to present their work have utilized Brooklyn as the backdrop for investigation, observation, inspiration and creativity. The festival includes short documentary films reflecting on humanity, race, existence, humor and societal views. The BRIC Film Festival is a pathway to advance opportunity for media makers.
The BRIC Film Festival is a part of BRIC Stoop Share, a community engagement initiative that provides nonprofit organizations and artists in Brooklyn and New York City with access to BRIC’s unique venue. Designed especially for those without regular access to public programming spaces, Stoop Share offers a platform for visual artists, performers, media makers, and the nonprofits that support them to amplify their voices and share their diverse visions.
